Hong Kong May 2013

So I just flew back from HONG KONG, and had one of the freshest times! I was out there for about 6 days teaching, judging and just vibing out with HK’s Bboy Community! It was an honor to be a part of School Of Hip Hop’s events and community workshops. School of Hip Hop is an organization that works with youth and encourages them daily through the promotion of positive Hip Hop Culture! I was humbled to participate in their programs alongside their Director, Ling Chan and Head Dance Instructor, my brotha, CHA CHA Kong.

I got to meet so many people, and all the bboys and bgirls were so eager to learn. I had lines of “students” asking for advice. it was definitely a blessing to share my experiences with HK’s bboy community. Im definitely looking forward to going back another time! Much love to the HK Scene for showing me love and respect every day I was there! Keep on rocking HONG KONG!

Here is a clip of my judge solos from both events I judged, while in HK! Ill be posting workshop footage soon! Peace and GOD BLESS!

[by the way - I dont like doing judge solos, but have to...haha]

Canada | Lines Of Battle & Workshops

So I just recently came back from Canada and all I can say is that – It was one of the freshest trips yet! Big shout out to my good friends Aaron and Kendra Melanson out in Medicine, Alberta for being such passionate people. Aaron and Kendra truly care for their community. They run a dance studio (GX Dance Studio), host events and work with youth on the daily! On top of all this, they are a Godly couple. Just wanted to give them a special THANK YOU!

While in Canada, I judged “Lines Of Battle,” taught 2 private lessons and 5 workshops. My last workshop was taught over at PULSE Studios in Calgary. I had about 25 students and if you have taken my workshops recently, they are no joke. For this workshop, I focused a lot on speed, form, conditioning and taking simple ideas and making them dynamic. Everyone was tired, but did great!

As bboys and bgirls, we should always challenge our strength and conditioning. Its not always about how “DOPE” you are, but how long you can last and still be dope. Take a look at a short clip from my workshop in Calgary. (Make note: All of the conditioning segment of my workshop is missing.)

Happy to be back home with my family, grind at BREAK FREE and prep for my upcoming trips. Peace and GOD BLESS!
